Blue Horizon LNW have launched a new SoundCloud page with some old, new and demo material on it. We will be posting further material on this site in future. There are also several older demo tracks on this site and tracks from our previous albums, including our very first and previously unreleased recording, The Thrill Is Gone from 2005.
Blue Horizon LNW and its new line up have been recording new material and demos since August 2019. The first release from this new work will be an EP, released later this year or in early 2021. New tracks on the EP include Season of Light, Cedarwood Days and Going South. These new songs mark a return to the indie roots of our work and include a spoken word section on Season of Light.
Gary Parker has been working with other collaborators and has co-written three songs for a new British independent movie expected to be released in 2021. These songs are in a different music genre than the usual Blue Horizon LNW. More on this development in due course.
This year's burst of activity has continued with new plans for Blue Horizon to play live. Gary Hall, who is continuing with his solo career, will not be working live with the band, but there are tentative plans for Blue Horizon and Gary Hall to share the same bill at a live gig in London next year, if the right venue can be found. Gary Parker is working with London-based guitar and bass player, Graeme Green, and they are currently rehearsing new material.
The new Blue Horizon CD Rainbows has finally been released, as a download-only release via CD Baby or direct from this website - see Buy Music page. It contains 12 new tracks, 11 written by Gary Parker and one written by Gary Hall. This follows on from the 2006 release Lost Weekend which was the band's debut album. It is still available from this website or email us for details.
During August 2014, Gary Hall and Gary Parker started recording demos for a new album scheduled for late 2015 or early 2016 release. Gary Parker has penned 15 new songs which were recorded during these session. He has also started experimented with spoken word material and poetry; one new recording called Sunlight which is a poem recited by Parker, is likely to feature on the new release. Some tracks are likely to remain as full band tracks, while others may be acoustic guitar and vocals only. More news on this in due course.
